I went for a walk this morning and stopped by R's playground.

And I saw this.

And these were poking through the fence from a neighboring yard so I left them for R and Georgina.

And I thought of this.

And for the first time in a long time I was thankful for random chance.

  1. Thank you. The flowers are beautiful.

And those pale green things do have a habit of growing up, often whilst we are not looking.

Kate is right. I've cried over that piece of writing more than once and I've just cried over it again. Good tears.

Sometimes all I can summon up is thankfulness.

  2. Oh my goodness this is just so wonderful. Dark and sad but also wonderful, too. That you see things in this way, and pass it on... it's some kind of magic. Magically enlarged eyeballs and imaginations, out of necessity.

This feels like kinship, and Catherine's comment too, and that makes me feel so good, and so accompanied. xo
